About Kepley Architecture

Kepley Architecture, LLC is a dynamic architecture and planning firm dedicated to enhancing the quality of life through innovative design. Our expertise spans various sectors with a primary focus on collaborating with senior living and educational clients. We specialize in the comprehensive planning and design of new buildings and communities, as well as the repositioning, revitalization, and transformation of existing structures and campuses. In addition, we work with clients in residential and other markets. We find that these projects help inform and improve our other specialties and vice-versa.

Our approach is rooted in open communication and deep understanding of our clients' needs and aspirations. We begin by actively listening and engaging in discussion to gain valuable insights. We meticulously analyze existing site and related factors to formulate a range of options and creative solutions, all of which are presented for team and stakeholder evaluation. As we progress, we navigate the intricacies of the detailed design and construction phases, working closely with our clients to bring their visions to life.

At Kepley Architecture, we partner with our clients to create environments that inspire and enrich lives.

Natalie Gabrielle, Architect

Natalie Gabrielle is a registered architect with over fifteen years of experience. Her work has included senior living, institutional, education, and civic projects. She is a strong leader in guiding projects from programming through design and on to construction completion. Natalie also has extensive experience in renovation and historic preservation, and believes that beautiful architecture, both historic and new, strengthens our connection to place and to each other.

Natalie holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design degree from Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from Ball State University College of Architecture and Planning. She and her husband have two daughters.

The firm's headquarters are in Downtown Roanoke, Virginia, centrally located for easy client access and connection with consultants and other collaborators. Roanoke, which grew with the expansion of the Norfolk Southern Railroad, still retains many of the grand structures built by the railroad in the urban core, juxtaposed with the beautiful surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.

Our offices are located in a former warehouse/showroom, constructed in 1902. Modern enhancements have been made over the years. Recent renovations included a new studio lobby and support spaces. The updates feature new windows and skylights, high ceilings, and exposed brick interiors. The open work spaces foster a collegial atmosphere and collaborative process.

At Kepley Architecture, we recognize that each client brings unique priorities and specific needs to the table. That's why we provide a range of services that are custom-tailored to meet the individual requirements of every client we serve. Our services include options/feasibility studies, master planning and architectural services, all rooted in a profound respect for our clients' goals and guided by our extensive experience in the field.

Our planning and design processes are inherently collaborative, ensuring that the end result is a one-of-a-kind project that truly reflects our client's vision. We understand that multiple disciplines are involved in effective planning and prioritize team and stakeholder involvement throughout. Our aim is to deliver solutions that our clients not only endorse but also embrace with a strong sense of ownership. We don't offer one-size-fits-all solutions; instead, we work together to craft designs that are uniquely their own.
