Heritage Village

Morningstar Senior Living
Nazareth, Pennsylvania

The project is a new independent living, satellite campus for Morningstar Living in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. Built on fifty acres less than 1/2 mile from the Martin Guitar factory, the community was envisioned as a small village. It includes multiple different single and duplex cottages plan configurations as well as several small independent living apartment buildings or Townstones, (a blend of townhouse and brownstone), as they have been dubbed by Heritage Village. There is also a community center with cafe, amenity spaces, and a pool.

The multi-phase project has a number of small greens or parks around which cottages are arranged. Each creates a small "pocket neighborhood". The houses and lots are intentionally linear to create a more compact layout and improve walk-ability around the community. Sidewalks along the streets and paved paths around the campus further foster this pedestrian access.

The project was designed and managed by Drew Kepley while a Principal at SFCS Inc., Architect of Record.
