700 13th Street NW Mixed-Use Building

Washington, DC

The Class A office/mixed-use building is located near the Metro Center Station in Northwest Washington, DC. The structure is twelve stories, over 448,000 square feet, and includes 227 covered parking spaces. Retail space occupies a significant portion of the first floor with office space above. Extensive roof terraces provide views of the Washington skyline and monuments.

The massing, detailing, and architectural precast masonry reflect the monumental scale and qualities of the nearby Federal Triangle. The building entrance features a two-story lobby with Italian marble floors and wood paneled walls. Large windows provide abundant natural light and the efficient, open floor plates allow for flexible planning to meet the needs of building tenants.  The project is LEED Certified Gold.

Drew Kepley worked on this project while an architectural designer with David M. Childs at Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill in Washington, DC, Architect of Record.
